Project Title: Monte Carlo Assessment of Mt Hibok-Hibok for Cosmic Ray Flux Measurement
Project Leader: Prof. Hermogenes C. Gooc, Jr.
Duration: 7 months from June 01, 2025 to December 31, 2025
Salary: Php 15,208.80/month
Tentative schedule of interview: May 29, 2025 (afternoon)

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Physics or closely related field; Graduate units is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in C++ programming language (or similar).
  • Experience with data analysis, statistical methods, and/or computational simulations.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative research team.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Research Support: Assist in the development, design, and implementation of computational models and simulations for the research project.
  • Data Analysis: Collect, process, and analyze simulation data, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
  • Programming: Write and debug code to implement algorithms, analyze datasets, and generate visualizations of the simulation setup and results.
  • Documentation: Maintain clear and accurate documentation of code, methods, and research findings for reproducibility and future reference.
  • Literature Review: Conduct literature reviews to identify relevant methods, tools, and recent advancements related to the research project.
  • Report Preparation: Assist in the preparation of reports, research papers, and presentations for conferences or publications.
